we stayed at the pub on 26/8/2017 for 2 nights, Ian and Lisa and staff made my wife and myself very welcome and our dog Luna. Food and Accommodation are first class , the enclosed court yard was great for the dog to roam freely nothing was too much trouble we will return

Lovely country pub, great friendly service, lovely food including a few good choices for us fussy vegetarians, the room was really cosy, very comfortable and very clean. Because we ate so much for dinner we didn't eat much at breakfast, but the coffee and toast was really good. We will definitely return.

Excellent place to stay. The food is delicious 10 out of 10. The pub is very warm and cozy. A warm welcome with a comfortable room. Definitely recommended and a lovely village setting.

Stayed in this lovely pub for 2 nights. The rooms are decorated to a very high standard. We upgraded to the super king room which was amazing. We have never seen a bed so big. Ian and Lisa make you feel so special and are great hosts. We ate here on the first night and would have the second night if we hadn't booked a table in Harrogate. The food was fantastic. Definitely 5* restaurant quality. Breakfast was lovely with a good selection. Nothing was too much trouble. Will be booking again to come back.

We have just spent a night in this gorgeous pub and B&B. It was everything we wanted from the lovely cosy traditional pub with open fires and superb huge portions of traditional food to the very unique and stylish accommodation in the rear courtyard. Breakfast was very nice as were the terrific and friendly owners. The village in which it sits is equally lovely and the Castle inn provides the perfect base from which to explore the wonderful Yorkshire Dales. I would certainly return whenever in the area - a real find!!

Snape is a 'picture postcard' kind of backwater, that is as English as Yorkshire pud! The Castle Arms nestles in it's midst, as if it grew there. A traditional Yorkshire pub, it retains everything good about the past, yet has everything you expect from a modern inn. The food is very special indeed, the chef has worked around the world in many hotels and it shows! Rooms are tastefully furnished, in fact I thought they had been newly decorated, though the proprietor indicated that they had been done years ago. Not only was everything to our complete satisfaction, the locals were incredibly friendly too. Even our dog was welcome and everyone made a fuss of him... need I say any more?
